Jalandhar(Punjab):The great spiritual leader of Tibet and a Nobel Laureate for Peace , Dalai Lama graced the 5th Convocation of LPU (panjab) as a Chief Guest, which was held on Saturday, 14th November 2015 at Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium.This was the conveying from the Holiness 14th Dalai Lama Tenzin Gyatsos convocation address to the graduating students of Lovely Professional University.Dalai Lama Holiness to honoured LPU toppers of various academic programs with award gold medals.IMG_0271

‘The students of 21st century should make this a century of peace, love and compassion. Prime purpose of us all in this life is to help others. The main line of his speech is that If we can’t help someone, at least we should not hurt someone.In the Convocation about 4000 LPU students of Batch 2015 pass outs from various programs also awarded with degrees. On the same day of Convocation, Degree of Doctor of Divinity, Honoris Causa also proudly conferred by the LPU with Holiness of Dalai Lama for their courageous statesmanship, universal benevolence and scientific temperament.In the convocation ,  Tibetan students in LPU accorded traditional welcome of the Dalai Lama through the folk instruments playing and “Tashi Shopa” (Mask) dance.LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal, Pro Chancellor Ms Rashmi Mittal & VC Dr Ramesh Kanwar giving Honoris Causa to His Holiness Dalai Lama on occasion of 5th Convocation at LPU today

On this occasion at LPU Jalandhar, Governor of the Punjab & Haryana states and Administrator of UT Chandigarh(Shri Kaptan Singh Solanki) presided over the convocation ceremony. The Chief Editor of Ajit Group of Publications S Barjinder Singh Hamdard presented there . The Lovely Group Chairman Mr Ramesh Mittal, Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal, Vice Chairman Mr Naresh Mittal, Pro Chancellor Mrs Rashmi Mittal, Vice Chancellor Dr Ramesh Kanwar and MD of the Nissan Motors Mr Arun Malhotra shared the dais with the Chief Guest.
