Rio 2016 Olympic: The upcoming Olympics are scheduled in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in summers from 5th of august to 21st august 2016. The Indian Athletes who have qualified and appeared in the summer Olympics are excited and all of them are ready to compete in the Olympics. As the time left is less than 4 months, the countdown has been started and every Indian Athlete who is going to appear and compete in Rio 2016 summer Olympics is working hard to attain their desired goal and get the success to brighten the name of their country in front of the whole world.

There are total 57 Indians who have qualified so far for the upcoming or going to held summer Olympics of 2016 in August. Total 3 Indian athletes are taking part in the Olympics held in Rio and the names of those three qualified are Vikas Gowda, Sapna who participates in women’s 20 km race walk and Nitendra Singh Rawat in men’s marathon. All three of them working hard to put their 100% in the summer Olympics. Vikas Gowda, who is qualified for the Rio olympics, 2016 is the Asian champion and also a gold medalist of 2014 commonwealth games.

Second athlete Sapna is champion of national games and made the cut for Rio games as per the timing of 1 hour 35 minutes and 36 seconds according to clock while finishing fourth in Asian 20 km race at Nomi city of Japan.
Last but not the least Nitendra Singh Rawat won Indian Elite men’s section in Delhi and along with that Rawat was also the third Indian who has qualified on the basis of revised standards for Olympics.
